International education fair was organized in Baku by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and Kaspi Education Center.
Chief of the Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov addressed the opening ceremony and talked about the work done within the State Program in Azerbaijan for improvement and development of education and training of the young people. “According to the order of Azerbaijani president, local students have to get education in leading and developed education centers of the world and to return home as good specialists. Such exhibitions organized jointly with the foreign universities are important in Azerbaijan”.
Deputy Minister of Education Elmar Gasimov said Kaspi Education Center established close relations with different European universities and organized education of Azerbaijani students in the leading universities of the world. “This is good news that today the center together with the Ministry of Education organized the education fair with the participation of European and U.S. universities, which will give details about their opportunities and requirements to the Azerbaijani students”.
Gasimov said German, South Korean and Malaysian universities exhibited their opportunities in Azerbaijan in the past month and the students got direct information they needed. Nearly 10 universities of USA, Germany, Australia, Britain, South Africa, France, Switzerland, Malta and Malaysia attended the exhibition.
The deputy minister said nearly 10000 Azerbaijani students were studying abroad. “Nearly 300 students are getting education abroad within the government program and we are planning to send 5000 students to foreign universities by 2015. The Azerbaijani students are studying in Russia, the Czech Republic, China via the government program. 450 students are attending the fellowship program carried out by the German Students Exchange Service. The young people are studying abroad within the different programs funded by the government agencies and ministries as well”, said Gasimov.
Head of the Kaspi Education Center Emin Amrullayev said the center’s success consisted in the number of students studying abroad.
