Education minister Misir Mardanov has received a delegation led by education & science minister Gintaras Steponavichius of Lithuania.
The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan reports that the parties discussed issues of larger development of education co-operation between the two countries.
“Mardanov stressed the necessity of use of experience of voucher system applied by Lithuania and raised the matters of relevant system application in Azerbaijan. He also touched questions of closer relationships between their countries’ universities in the future, experience exchange and signing of relevant documents,” the MoE informed.
Steponavicius told of reforms in his country’s education system, fruitfulness of Azerbaijani-Lithuanian ties in the area of education and made proposals concerning improvement of partnership between higher and secondary educational institutions of the two states.
The meeting participants also debated thoroughly such subjects as voucher system use, financing on the basis of formulae and other themes.
