Disruptive Pupils
They make things difficult not just for teachers but for the pupils who actually want to learn. How should we tackle violent and disruptive pupils? What is the best way to tackle aggressive and disruptive behavior in schools?

Call the parents into the school. Stuff an envelope into their pockets and tell them their child must not enter any state school for a year. And tell them their child must not enter any state school for a year. Then other pupils might get an education.

Disruptive students are a big promoter of anti-intellectualism, which must be stopped. I support them moving schools, to a center where they can be schooled with more appropriate methods - though I'm not commenting on what those should be! We'll leave that up to the education Councils.

Work on making transitions between parts of lessons smooth. In other words, as you move from whole group discussion to independent work, try to minimize the disruption to the class. Have your papers ready to go or your assignment already written on the board. Many disruptions occur during transitional times during lessons.
