The Library of “The University of Haydar Aliyev”
The University of Haydar Aliyev for the first time in Azerbaijan was established at NSU by the decree on march 6, 199 7 of the University Scientific Council on a social basis.
The first seminar of a new style stateship school was conducted on April 5, 1997. In this seminar Mr. Vasif Talibov chairman of Nakhchivan Supreme Majlis made a speech on the “theme” the life and activity of Haydar Aliyev itself is a university. In his speech he stated the role and importance of “The University of Haydar Aliyev” in upbringing in the spirit of national stateship of young generation, in forming patriotism, in mostering political culture and administrative schooling and finally set his urgent tasks and advices in the furthermore activities of the youth. Up to now there were conducted around 60 seminars of the University. The library attached to “The university of Haydar Aliyev” also plays an important role in conducting the seminars, in learning the life, public-social activity of Haydar Aliyev perfectly and thoroughly.
Almost the la test publications, magazines and newspapers, albums and bucklets displaying the life and activity of our national leader Haydar Aliyev were assembled in this library having a hall of 60 seats capacity.
The books “Towards the new century together”, “Peace at home, peace in abroad”, “Azerbaijan in the union of UN”, “Azerbaijan-USA”, European Council and Azerbaijan”, “Azerbaijan – Chine friendship ties”, “The peace bridge of XX”, “For peace and safety” dedicated to the multisided activity of Haydar Aliyev are the sources for the scholars, doctorates, post graduates, dissert ants and young student researchers having no analogy. Also the rich photo materials, unique historic documents, archive materials reflecting the unforgettable moments of Haydar Aliyev life and activity serve the leaders.
The videoteka reflecting the late 33 years life and activity of Haydar Aliyev enable the readers to use live visual-aids and audio-visual materials. The videotapes contains the follows: the great speech in 25 jubilee of NSU when Haydar Aliyev was the chairman of NAR Supreme Majlis (on November 12, 1992), his warm congratulation speech in the opening of 5 storied university building of 1600 seats (on October 11, 1999), the photos demonstrating the moments when Azerbaijan Republic was being accepted a member of European Council in Strasburg (on January 23, 2002) and other valuable video sequarices are preserved and used here.
In order to give full and complete information to the readers about the life and activity of Haydar Aliyev the discussion and presentation of these books are conducted regularly in the library.
The discussion of the books said to be chronicles as “ Comeback” and “three days of the life” which cover different stages of Haydar Aliyev’s Nakhchivan periods, and also the presentation of the book “A man integrating Azerbaijan to the world” written by Reyhan Mirzazadeh is of the measures held.
